The rescue operation in Mirnycontinues.Over the last 24 hours, ALROSA’sminers and the Emergency Ministry rescuers cleared out 71 meters of mine workings in two directionson level –210.The total volume of removed rock is 1,540 cubic meters.
As of 12.00 (local time), water level in the mine shafts was at mark –275.7 meters.

Instrumental measurements at11.00 am demonstrated that water volume in the open pitmine was9,670cubic meters, in this connection primary aim of the specialists isto createconditions for a controlled discharge of water from the open pit mine.

The rescue teams are clearing rubble in the underground mine non-stop 24 hours a day.A total of 320 people are involved in the operation, 150 of them are ALROSA employees and 170 are EMERCOM specialists.
