April 1, 2021 - Starting April 1, Sergey Pavlenko, former chief engineer at ALROSA's Udachny Division, will head Udachny Division.
Sergey Pavlenko, born in the city of Udachny, joined Alrosa’s mining operations in Udachny after earning a degree from the Moscow State Mining University in 2000. He began his career as a metalworking and repair specialist, rising through the ranks to become the mine's mechanized section supervisor by 2010.
In 2010, he was appointed Chief engineer at the Udachny maintenance department, which he has headed a year later. From 2014 to date, he was Chief engineer at the Udachny Division of ALROSA.
Roman Deniskin, who headed the Udachny Division since 2019, steps down as his contract expires.

Founded in 1979, the Udachny Division is the key source of employment for the community of Udachny city, which is located in the Mirninsky District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). It explores the Udachnaya Pipe, the Zarnitsa Pipe, and the Verkhne-Munskoye deposit. The ore mined at these sites is processed at Processing Plant No. 12. The Division recovered ca. 5 million carats of diamonds in 2020.
