16 March 2021 – ALROSA announces the 2020 results of Local WorkForce for Industry, a priority project of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
In 2020, 1,587 representatives of local communities (vs targeted 200) joined ALROSA team, including 374 young people under the age of 30 (target: 50). The programme’s budget exceeds RUB 3.5 m, with RUB 2 m provided by ALROSA.
404 people (target: 100) were engaged in shift-camp or seasonal works, and 187 people (target: 50) were hired from rural areas.
“Under the programme, the Company organised professional trainings, additional education and internships for 157 participants, attracted local workforce with comprehensive career guidance, and signed employer-sponsored training agreements with 32 students of the North-Eastern Federal University (target: 8). We also continue to monitor the progress of programme participants,” said Alina Patsianskaya, Head of HR Service.
11 students took part in the state final demo exam held in accordance with WorldSkills standards, and 15 graduates of professional education facilities received demo exam certification.
In January 2018, ALROSA signed an agreement with the State Employment Committee of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) on joint implementation of the Local WorkForce for Industry priority project in 2018–2022. The cooperation includes consistent effort to find jobs for the unemployed people of the region, including those from rural areas.
